Jakarta, Indonesia: Gen Advisory Pty Ltd’s principal and managing director, Michael Lukman, announced today that he has established a Jakarta-based, limited liability Indonesian company named PT. Generasi Lukman Indonesia (“PT. GLI”). This establishment was effective 28 November 2023.
PT. GLI will:
support organisations wishing to operate in the Indonesian jurisdiction;
leverage off Michael Lukman’s professional experience and core competencies; and
represent a “sister company” of, but separate entity from, Michael’s Sydney-based Australian professional services firm, Gen Advisory Pty Ltd.
“Considering the long-term growth trajectory of the Indonesian economy, my decision to establish a corporate presence in Indonesia but was a matter of 'when', not 'if'", said Michael Lukman. “PT. GLI's establishment will enhance my team's abiiity to serve the needs of organisations wishing to operate in the Indonesian jurisdiction.”

Michael has been the principal and managing director of Gen Advisory Pty Ltd since 2018. He brings over 20 years' international financial sector advisory and regulation experience, having previously worked at: the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA); National Australia Bank (NAB); and Ernst & Young (EY).
Michael previously also served as the Australian Government-backed Financial Sector Regulation and Supervision Adviser in Indonesia. And as an Advisory Board Member of FinMango - a US s501(c)(3) non-profit organisation whose mission is to address economic inequality through opportunity.
