Michael brings over 20 years' international  financial sector advisory and regulation experience, having previously worked at: the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA); National Australia Bank (NAB); and Ernst & Young (EY).
 

Michael previously also served as the Australian Government-backed Financial Sector Regulation and Supervision Adviser in Indonesia. And as an Advisory Board Member of FinMango - a US s501(c)(3) non-profit organisation whose mission is to address economic inequality through opportunity.

Since 2018, Michael has been the managing director and Financial Sector Adviser at Gen Advisory Pty Ltd - a niche Australian professional services firm supporting organisations wishing to operate in Australian or Indonesian financial sectors. Within Australia, Gen Advisory's clients to date have included some of Australia's leading FinTechs. ​

Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Management) and Masters in Accounting from Monash University (Melbourne, Australia). Michael also holds an Executive Certificate in “Rethinking Financial Inclusion” from the Harvard Kennedy School (Cambridge, USA).
