Michael brings over 20 years' international  financial sector advisory and regulation experience, having previously worked at: the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA); National Australia Bank (NAB); and Ernst & Young (EY).
 

Michael previously also served as the Australian Government-backed Financial Sector Regulation and Supervision Adviser in Indonesia. And as an Advisory Board Member of FinMango - a US s501(c)(3) non-profit organisation whose mission is to address economic inequality through opportunity.

Since 2018, Michael has been the managing director and Financial Sector Adviser at Gen Advisory Pty Ltd - a niche Australian professional services firm supporting organisations wishing to operate in Australian or Indonesian financial sectors. Within Australia, Gen Advisory's clients to date have included some of Australia's leading FinTechs.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Management) and Masters in Accounting from Monash University (Melbourne, Australia). Michael also holds an Executive Certificate in “Rethinking Financial Inclusion” from the Harvard Kennedy School (Cambridge, USA).
